When Silence Becomes Betrayal

A reading of, and short commentary on, each inimical and beautiful life passion quote we have dissected from the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech on April 4, 1967 at Riverside Church in NYC, one year to the day before his assassination.

He brilliantly exposes the vicious lies of the 'triplets of evil' - Militarism, Racism, and Economic Exploitation.

We read this entire speech in August 2013 in this same room, on the day that Dr. King was celebrated on the 50th anniversary of his 'I Have A Dream' speech in Washington, DC. None of the elected leaders who spoke that day (including Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton) mentioned these words. Republicans as a group, refused to even attend. Jimmy Carter came closet, but didn't come near, with his rhetoric.

Dr. King's daughter Bernice King  was the only speaker who had the same fire, sorrow, anger, truth, and love in her words in revealing the mission of her father and his soul.

We hope you join us on May 16 for this deep search into King's real message.
